What is ".mld"?
It is a format for ring tones that is supported by NTT DoCoMo mobile phones. The handsets that support ".mld" are listed below.
What can you do with .mld files?
When you create a .mld file and uploaded it to a .mld compatible mobile phone, you can make melodies and voices ring from it.

The tool is able to read SMF(.mid), and with additional sound editing and Wave files(.wav/.aif) it can create .mld for playback. It can also be used as a player of .mld files.

SSD is a tool to convert SMF(.mid) into SMAF file(.mmf).
The SMAF file(.mmf) can be converted into .mld file for LG handsets by SCP-MA3-L/SCP-MA5-L.
Please create SMAF file(.mmf) in MA-3 mode of SSD for SCP-MA3-L use, in MA-5/MA-3 mode for SCP-MA5-L use.

*WSD (Wave Sound Decorator) ( Ver.1.1.0 ) [Release Note]
WSD is a tool to convert Wave files(.wav/.aif) into SMAF file(.mmf).
The SMAF file(.mmf) can be converted into .mld file for LG handsets by SCP-MA3-L/SCP-MA5-L.
Please create SMAF file(.mmf) in MA-3 mode of WSD for SCP-MA3-L use, in MA-5/MA-3 mode for SCP-MA5-L use.

The tools may not be normally operated depending on circumstances such as the setting condition and configuration of your computer, installation condition of other software, or function enhancement.
Additionally, Yamaha does not supports the inquiries for each software.


	The tools on this page are for the following handsets sold in Taiwan and Europe: L341i Please use tools for SMAF for LG's handsets sold in other countries or region.


	Q.		[NEW!]Do tools available on this site run on Windows Vista?

	A.		No, they don't.
	Q.		[NEW!]Installing the unzipped tool file fails.

	A.		If the file layout of the installer is changed after unzipping, installing it may fail.
	Q.		The tool uninstallation fails with the error message "Error 1606. Could not access network location."

	A.		For the error occuring when you have upgraded your computer from Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition to Windows XP, please see the detailed description on the Microsoft website.



	Q.		When trying to download a tool, it jumps to the other page, and consequently cannot be downloaded.

	A.		Download could not be made if Referrer function is disabled by your security software because you cannot go to the relevant page. Example of countermeasures: When you use Symantec Internet Security, click "Extension" button on the Privacy Control window to add smaf-yamaha.com, and then click "Permit" on "Information about visited sites." * The terms and functions differ depending on your security software, so please make the setting equivalent to the above countermeasures with reference to each manual.
