Installing the unzipped tool file fails.

If the file layout of the installer is changed after unzipping, installing it may fail.

Downloaded .zip file of the tool can not be installed with error message appearing.

The tool uninstallation fails with the error message "Error 1606. Could not access network location."

For the error occuring when you have upgraded your computer from Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition to Windows XP, please see the detailed description on the Microsoft website.

When trying to download a tool, it jumps to the other page, and consequently cannot be downloaded.

Download could not be made if Referrer function is disabled by your security software because you cannot go to the relevant page.
    Example of countermeasures: When you use Symantec Internet Security, click "Extension" button on the Privacy Control window to add smaf-yamaha.com, and then click "Permit" on "Information about visited sites."
* The terms and functions differ depending on your security software, so please make the setting equivalent to the above countermeasures with reference to each manual.

A file cannot be downloaded. Access is refused.

With Internet Explorer, the following operation could improve the situation.
Click the followings in this order: [Tool]→[Internet Option]→[General]→Internet Temporary Files[Delete Files...]
Check the box of [Delete all offline content] and then click [OK].

No reply is received yet to the inquiry to Yamaha SMAF GLOBAL website.

When I click on a "Download" button, the corresponding file fails to download.

If you are using Internet Explorer 5, select Internet Options in the Tools menu, click on "Security", click on the "Customize Level" button and uncheck the "Enable Script" checkbox. Click on "OK" to close the Internet Options setting window, and try downloading the file again.
If you are using Internet Explorer 4, select Internet Options in the View menu, click on "Security", check the "Custom" checkbox, click on "Settings" and, under "Scripts", check the checkbox to set "Active Script" to "Enabled". Click on "OK" to close the Internet Options setting window, and try downloading the file again.

I downloaded a PDF document but I cannot open it.

To read PDF documents, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader application installed on your computer. To download and install the latest version of Acrobat Reader (which is available free of charge), click on the icon below.
