Yamaha offers the best support for business users interested in SMAF content development or Yamaha hardware solutions. Business users include handset manufacturers, developers of SMAF multimedia content for mobile devices (such as creators of mobile phone ring tones), and wireless carrier operators.
A commercial content development system-consisting of both hardware and software-is available for commercial developers.

Yamaha manufactures a hardware content authoring system specifically designed for commercial content providers. The system includes a box containing an MA-2, MA-3, or MA-5 audio LSI, which can be used to check sounds that have been developed. The system is shown in the diagram below. Direct technical support for the system is available from Yamaha support specialists.

The SCAS authoring tool is used to create multimedia content incorporating sound, graphics and text. At present, not all mobile phone handsets are capable of playing back this type of content. For more details, please contact the SMAF Business Support Unit at the address shown below.
