Putting SMAF Files on Your Mobile Phone
There are essentially three ways to put SMAF files (which have the extension .mmf) onto a mobile phone or other hand-held device.
  1. Files can be received on a mobile phone as attachments in e-mail messages.
  2. Files can be downloaded to a mobile phone from the world-wide web using the phone's built-in browser.
  3. Files can be downloaded to a mobile phone from a PC connected via a cable.
Once installed on the device, the SMAF files can be played back, for example as the ring tone for a mobile phone.
Receiving SMAF files as e-mail attachments
SMAF files can be transmitted and received as attachments to e-mail messages. These messages may originate either from a PC or from another mobile phone.
Consult the manuals that came with your mobile phone and PC e-mail software to find out how to attach files to messages for transmission and how to copy them from received messages.
Downloading SMAF files from the web
SMAF files can be downloaded from this site and from content providers' sites using your mobile phone's browser capability.
Start up your mobile phone's browser function, enter the URL of the site you wish to download the SMAF file from, and follow the instructions given on the target site.
If necessary, consult the manuals that came with your mobile phone to find out how to use the browser to download files from the web.
Downloading SMAF files from a PC
SMAF files can be downloaded from a PC via a connection cable.
Connect your mobile phone and PC using the appropriate cable and start-up the upload software on the PC.
If necessary, consult the manuals that came with your PC software and mobile phone to find out how to download files from a PC.
